Turnovers and cold shooting continue to plague Bruins

34 turnovers, sub 30% shooting from the field, and 36% shooting from the freethrow line usually do not lead to a very pretty score, and that was the case on Tuesday night as Fargo South dropped a 79-36 decision to Fargo Davies in the Eagles gym and drops to 0-3 in the EDC with the loss. As has been the case in all 4 games this season, the Bruins dug themselves into a big hole and could not find a way to dig themselves out of it, and that needs to change for the Bruins to be competitive going forward in the season. Maggie Boese was a bright spot for South as she had her second straight very solid game, scoring 7 first half points including a strong three point play and a pair of nice inside moves. Boese ended the night as the lone Bruin in double figures with 11 points and was also South's leading rebounder with 7 boards. The Eagles did a nice job playing aggressive defense and was able to get a number of transition baskets off of South turnovers, and Davies extended a 21 point halftime lead in the second half as the Bruins could only muster 12 second half points in which they shot 18% from the field, with only Boese and Paige Schroeder able to register a made field goal in the second half as the two combined for 10 of South's second half points. Next action for South is Friday night when they travel to Devils Lake.
