Turnovers derail Bruins

Turnovers continue to be an ongoing issue for Fargo South, as the Bruins had 22 first half turnover and finished the night with 34 missed opportunities to score, with the result being very predictible, a 68-41 loss to a Sheyenne team who is playing very good basketball right now. The defensive pressure of the Mustangs in the opening half definitely rattled South, who only managed to put up 14 shots which made very difficult to stay in the game. Sami Hoselton did score 6 early points for South, as the Bruins trailed 11-8 with just over 5 minutes gone in the game, but unfortunately also picked up 3 quick fouls and had to exit the game, and the Bruins just could not make enough plays to hang around. South trailed 38-20 at halftime. In the second half things settled down somewhat for South, but by the time the Bruins got their feet underneath them, the game was essentially out of reach. For the second straight game, 8th grader Adie Wagner led the Bruins in scoring, rebounding, and assists as the only Bruin in double figures with 14 points. Next up for South is an away game at West Fargo on Tuesday night.
