Bruins continue to scuffle, drop game to Huskies

Fargo South continues to struggle along, as a poor shooting night combined with not being able to defend the three point line or the dribble drive gave way to a lackluster 58-39 defeat to the Wahpeton Huskies. The Bruins could only muster 13 second half points, as a 2 point deficit right before halftime ballooned to a 19 point loss. The Huskies were able to continually drive past Bruin defenders which led to either layups, fouls, or kick-outs for wide open three pointers. Compounding the defensive effort was the fact that South shot only 25% from the field and under 50% from the freethrow line. On the plus side of things, the Bruins only committed 11 turnovers in the game, and Paige Schroeder grabbed a game high 15 rebounds. Adie Wagner was the only Bruin in double figures as she chipped in 16 points. South will try to bounce back against Sheyenne, who currently sits 3rd in the EDC, on Friday night as the first game of a double header.
