South drops game to Davies

Fargo South could never quite find the right rhythm on Tuesday night and even though the game was close for the first 9 minutes, the last 27 were not pretty and the result was an 87-51 loss. South held their own for a while, trailing 13-11 halfway through the opening half, but the inside game of the Eagles took over from there. Davies was able to grab too many offensive rebounds to close out the half, and South got the turnover bug again, and found themselves trailing 41-25 at halftime. Paige Schroeder scored on a backdoor basket to start the 2nd half to cut the lead to 41-27, but that's as close as South would get. Davies scored 15 points in the first 3 1/2 minutes to extend the lead, and South was not able to make a rally to get back into it. Adie Wagner led the Bruins with 15 points, the only South player in double figures. Next action for South is Friday when they host Devils Lake.
