3 point barrage dooms Bruins

West Fargo Sheyenne set a new school record with 18 three pointers made and cruised to an 86-49 win over Fargo South on Thursday night in the Bruin gym. Adie Wagner was red hot to start the game to keep South within shouting distance most of the first half, scoring or assisting on South's 22 of their first 24 points. Adie turned in an 18 point first half. However that wasn't enough as the Mustangs drilled 10 threes in the opening half and led 43-27 at halftime. South and Sheyenne played pretty evenly for the first 10 minutes of the second half as an Adie Wagner basket made it a 54-39 game with 8 minutes to play. Wagner's second half scoring included a number of shots that were on the high degree of difficulty level. Again though, the Mustangs kept South at bay by continuing to bomb in threes, and stretched the lead out going forward. Unfortunately for South, they gave up 14 points in the last 3 minutes to lead to the lopsided score. Grace Hoselton played a very nice game for the Bruins, leading the team with 9 rebounds, taking a pair of charges, had a pair of steals and assists, and also 1 blocked shot. Brynn Nelson also chipped in 12 points and 5 boards. Next action for South is Tuesday night when they wrap up the first go-around of EDC scheduling by hosting Fargo North at 5:45 pm.
