Bruins drop game at Sheyenne

Fargo South played a decent game overall, but just could not slow down the three point shooting of Sheyenne, and fell 67-50 on Tuesday night in West Fargo. Both teams started out shooting the ball well as the Mustangs hit 4 threes to start the game, countered by 8 points from Adie Wagner and a bucket from Teigan Malo, and Sheyenne led 12-10 over the first few minutes. However, the Bruins then went ice cold as the Mustangs amped up their defensive pressure in the half court. Sheyenne went on a 17-0 run to push the lead out to 29-10 over the next 10 minutes of ball. At halftime the Bruins trailed 32-15. In the second half the Mustangs extended the lead out on continued hot shooting, but the Bruins tried to hang in there, with Adie Wagner dropping 20 points in the second half. The Bruins could never close the gap though as every time they would make a nice play, the Mustangs would answer with a nice play of their own and mainted their comfortable lead throughout the remainder of the game. Wagner led the Bruins with 31 points, and Teigan Malo and Brynn Nelson both grabbed double figure rebounds with 11 and 10 respectivley. South falls to 7-10 overall and hosts West Fargo on Friday night.
