Sophomore Coach Alvina Deyle
Alvina rejoins the Fargo South coaching staff after a three year absence. Her coaching career started in Enderlin, ND where she coached every level from 3rd grade to JV girls basketball for four years. She moved to Grand Forks and coached 7th grade basketball there for two years. She has taught/coached at Fargo South since 1986 where she has mainly been at the 9th grade level until the desire to watch her daughters play at three different levels made her think that 25 years of coaching was enough. Her successes were many with the highlight of her career when her teams won back-to-back-to-back championships from 1990-1992. Alvina’s husband is Tim and you see him running the shot clock when he is not teaching 5th grade at Roosevelt Elementary. Their five children are Janna and Rachel who attend NDSU, and triplets Karissa, Daniel, and Sarah who are juniors at South High School.
